I'm currently living in the US and will move to HK within these few months.  I am highly interested in purchasing/renting a unit at GWF.  Mind telling me more about this wonderful place you're living in now?  Your advices would be greatly appreciated.  I would also love to make some new friends!

I used to live in the Big Apple.  Have been back to HK for for quite some years.  I like GWF very much and there are quite many activities provided here in the club house.  I am also a Christian.  Hope you can join us soon.

You need to take BUS or light BUS mostly in this place or buy a car or find taxi.

I am a christian and come back from canada too, since the house in canada and US are SO big, if you come back to buy GWF, better buy at least 585 and up or else you would feel it's a bit tight... the club house is beautiful but most of the facilities needs to pay and the charge is a bit high .

Thanks for all the replies!!!!  It's wonderful to know that some of my future neighbors are Christians brothers/sisters.  Do you guys go to a church nearby?  Do you attend Chinese or English churches?  Any recommendations?  I've looked at ECC Kowloon and ECC Hong Kong.  Are there other options?

THe clubhouse facilities at GWF appeals to me alot!  It's one of the reasons why I choose GWF.  

HOw do you guys get to work?  I plan to take the ferry.  HOw's the surrounding at GWF?

Yes, the clubhouse is very impressive, although not much sports activities.
The environment within GWF is ok, but the area around is old and a bit messy.
I choose here finally because of the beautiful scene, great kitchen and bathroom and modern home.  
No 100% perfect flat in reality.  But living in GWF is worth with reasonable price.

I attend a chinese church in HK side.  My church has English service but mainly for teens and youth.

Also compare for Vision City too!! Construction quality is better

Frankly speaking, you may find 500 is very small space if you are coming back from US, esp we have balcony here that take up some of the space, so please be prepared : )

About the transportation, there is mini van going directly to Tsim Sha Tsui MTR or Mongkok MTR station, 106 bus to Causeway Bay, 115 bus to Sheung Wan via Wanchai and free ferry service every morning and evening to Sheung Wan in 20 mins.

BINGO!!!!  I am particularly drawn to the amenities, the scene, and the idea of a modern home.  I think the price of this place willl eventually rise.  I am thinking about buying a unit before the rise, but alot of friends told me that the prices should drop in a year or two and that I should wait.  Maybe I'll rent it for a year or two and then decide whether I wanna make the investment or not...

I've been to a few chinese churches in Hong Kong Island too.  My favorites are 同福堂 & 港福堂。  My mom might go there!

I'm thinking about buying a unit that's at least about 585' too.  You're right.  It will be a big adjustment to live in a smaller space, but certainly, there are lots of positive aspects to it too!  (e.g.  less area to clean!)  

Thanks for the info!  I just checked it.  It's a nice place but it's in Tseun Wan.  It might be a bit inconvenient for me since I will be working in HK Island.

I am thinking about TKO too!  Alot of friends told me that it's convenient to get to HK Island from TKO now.  Any advice/suggestions?

Do you guys live alone?  What size is your unit?  I heard that the units space in GWF isn't very 實用。  Is that true?  

My other concern is about the 智能 electronics.  HOnestly, how smart are they?  Do they easily break or malfunction?  Are they easy to operate?

As I always said, I never regret after buying gwf. The transport, the breath taking scene, the building materials used, and most importantly, the future development which will ensure a price rise.

The infra structure and road network catered for the previous airport definitely bring convenience, especially if you are driving.

Residnets here are great. They have successfully brought in/advanced/improved new facilities in the clubhouse and the environment. Conditions of road improved by calling the Govt Dept., request to Police for a tidier carpark opposite the estate, request to KMB for a diversion of bus route to nearer the estate, direct mail to request new shops to come in the plaza, request the future MTR station to be closer to the estate, and many more...

My family are Christians. We attend a contempory church with occasinal English preachings (the pastor is English spesaking).

So, it seems like this place certainly has room for growth.  I have done some research on the future development of the area too.  According to recent news, it seems like the seaview shouldn't be blocked for the next 30 years as well.  They're also planning to build a park at the old airport area?

Is it true that GWF is expanding to more units too?  If that is so, perhaps they would have more choices to choose from.

I'd love to attend a contemporary church too.  Mind messaging me the name of your church?
