Today, I asked my friend to check the flat with me for whole day, he is working in the field of property engineering management so he is kind of professional. He told me the quality is well acceptable comparing with others. Even he is a bit criticized, he only got 20 defects which is not much in his point of view. But the one that dismay me much is....................... "I CANNOT POWER ON THE LCD TV IN WASHROOM"

cant power on tv in washroom ... critical defect

oh! too bad...i can't accept that too!!
i found some scratches on the plastic cover of the TV in bathroom.
Could i ask for replacement or what?

yes the same problem as you that I found in the Kitchen TV, I will ask them to replace (i just mention the scratch, its really up to them how to fix this).............WOW...this is our right to ask them to replace anything until we accept it. DONT STEP BACK from the property.

would you mind post the 20 defects you found for reference?

me too, but have u try to uncover the protective plastic, after that no scratches on the monitor for me.

The contracotor has obligation under contract to rectifiy any defects found.  However, latent defects are much difficult to point out at first sight (ie, it may takes weeks, months to appear).

It is better for the property owner to list out all the defects, paying particular special attention to water leakage from window, at bathroom etc, as this often results in major problems later on.

Indeed, do not be afraid to list out all your defects and submit to the managment, afterall, it is you who have spent millions buying the flat, and likely to live in there for a while too.
